Horses, barrel racing, and playing outside on the farm. That’s what Ashlynn and Ryan enjoy doing. Not all at the same time of course.
Ashlynn loves to ride her horse. But not just ride. She competes in high school rodeo where she barrel races and pole bends. She is sweet, polite, and everytime I see her, she’s always smiling. She had me laughing because I wanted to take a couple of photos of her not smiling and she just smiled bigger and laughed. Needless to say, she was very easy to photograph.
Ryan was just as much of a pleasure to photograph. He didn’t smile any less than his sister. He is the typical little boy. He loves to play outside and go to the farm with his dad. He never questioned what I was doing when I would ask him to sit or stand a certain way. He only said a big OK and he needed very little direction. If I brought him home to play with my boys, he would fit in perfectly.
Andie, thank you for allowing me to photograph your beautiful children. It was a pleasure!
Til next time.
Do Well and Do Good,
I’ve always said that if I wasn’t a photographer, I would’ve been a labor and delivery nurse. Having the job of helping to bring babies into the world is at the top of my list of amazing professions. So when Kelly asked me to be in the room when she delivered Grayson, I was ecstatic! I had to keep myself from tearing up right there. As the last week of her pregnancy came around, I found myself carrying around my phone like a doctor that’s on call. It went everywhere with me. Finally I got THE text. Kelly visited her doctor and was going to be admitted to be induced. I got my stuff together and headed to the hospital. When I got there, things were going along nicely. Kelly was having contractions and definitely in pain. She labored into the night and the next day. After around 30 hours, her doctor decided it was time for a c-section. Everything went very smoothly and baby Grayson got here without any problems. He was a healthy 7lbs 15oz. Aside from my own childrens’ birth, it was one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen. I was snapping photos and crying at the same time. I will never, EVER, forget my first labor and delivery session.
Kelly and Bradley, God has blessed you with the most precious baby and he is beautiful. It’s gonna be so much fun getting to watch Grayson grow up!
Till next time.
Do Well and Do Good,
To say it was a warm day is an understatement. More like hot and steamy, but not in a good way ;). The kind of day where if you walk outside, you would have to go back inside and reapply you makeup. It was a typical Arkansas, end-of-June day. None the less, it was Matthew and Annslie’s wedding day. It was the day that they were going to get to join their hearts and lives together forever. With Annslie squished in the back seat of her own car, myself in the passenger’s seat, and the maid of honor driving, we headed to the venue. The wedding was being held at the Royal Ridge Barns. Walking in was beautiful! A large chandelier hung right over the center of the dance floor. Around that were tables with smaller chandeliers hanging over them. It looked like it belonged in a magazine. As we all headed to the bridal suite, I looked to my right and saw the place where the couple would say their vows. The view was breath taking!
Soon after, hair and make up were being done. There were laughs and tears and many more emotions. As you would expect on a wedding day. Final touches were made and the bride was helped into her dress. It fit perfectly! Annslie was glowing.
Despite the heat, Matthew and Annslie had a fantastic day. The vows were said in a meaningful ceremony as the couple was surrounded by their friends and family. It was perfect.
Matthew and Annslie, I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again. Thank you so much for allowing me to be apart of your day. It was an amazing weekend that I’ll never forget and will always treasure. You guys are perfect for one another and I look forward to seeing what life has in store for you. Congratulations!
Annslie’s mother passed away when Annslie was young and it was beautiful to see her memory honored by a framed photo and a long-stemmed rose. It was also very emotional.
It was an excellent time! Until next time.
Do Well and Do Good,
