I recently had the privilege of shooting a bridal session in Hot Springs a few weeks ago. Now, if you don’t know anything about Hot Springs, you should definitely do yourself a favor and Google it. It’s a beautiful city with beautiful places to shoot. The main thing it’s famous for is it’s namesake, the hot springs. At one time, people came from far and wide because they believed the springs were medicinal. The main strip has the nickname “Bath House Row” due to the fact that it’s lined with bath houses. If you decide to visit one, you’ll find out it’s like a spa. I, myself, have never been in one, so I can’t tell you exactly what happens. But every year, thousands of people come to visit Bath House Row and see the other things that Hot Springs has to offer.
When Brittany brought up the idea of Hot Springs and the destination for her Bridal shoot, I got excited. I’ve always wanted to add it to my portfolio. I knew we were going to get some great shots. I was not disappointed.
Our first stop was Garvan Garden’s. It’s a large plot of land where you can walk through and admire the plants, flowers, and the architecture.
After we were done there, we decided to go into the city and shoot on Bath House Row. I finally got to shoot at the Arlington Hotel. Their lobby is gorgeous and includes a couple of great staircases.
I hope to get to shoot in Hot Springs again very soon. Make sure you keep your eyes open for Brittany and Brandon’s wedding day!
Til next time.
Do Well and Do Good,
To say it was a warm day is an understatement. More like hot and steamy, but not in a good way ;). The kind of day where if you walk outside, you would have to go back inside and reapply you makeup. It was a typical Arkansas, end-of-June day. None the less, it was Matthew and Annslie’s wedding day. It was the day that they were going to get to join their hearts and lives together forever. With Annslie squished in the back seat of her own car, myself in the passenger’s seat, and the maid of honor driving, we headed to the venue. The wedding was being held at the Royal Ridge Barns. Walking in was beautiful! A large chandelier hung right over the center of the dance floor. Around that were tables with smaller chandeliers hanging over them. It looked like it belonged in a magazine. As we all headed to the bridal suite, I looked to my right and saw the place where the couple would say their vows. The view was breath taking!
Soon after, hair and make up were being done. There were laughs and tears and many more emotions. As you would expect on a wedding day. Final touches were made and the bride was helped into her dress. It fit perfectly! Annslie was glowing.
Despite the heat, Matthew and Annslie had a fantastic day. The vows were said in a meaningful ceremony as the couple was surrounded by their friends and family. It was perfect.
Matthew and Annslie, I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again. Thank you so much for allowing me to be apart of your day. It was an amazing weekend that I’ll never forget and will always treasure. You guys are perfect for one another and I look forward to seeing what life has in store for you. Congratulations!
Annslie’s mother passed away when Annslie was young and it was beautiful to see her memory honored by a framed photo and a long-stemmed rose. It was also very emotional.
It was an excellent time! Until next time.
Do Well and Do Good,
Her colors were in the shades of pink and cream. His suit was a great hue of gray and nicely pressed. Her dress was Vera Wang and her make-up was perfect. She was beautiful and he was handsome. All the makings for the perfect day. These are the details describing Bradley and Kelly’s wedding. They couldn’t wait to say “I do”. And it was right around the corner.
The day went off without a hitch. The men in their suits and the girls in their matching dresses. Everything was perfect. With her hair pinned up just right and her dress flowing out around her, Kelly was stunning and she was ready to walk down that aisle. And at the end, was her prince charming. Bradley waited patiently as each parent and attendant walked out first. The doors shut and the congregation stood. Everyone seemed to hold their breath as they waited for the doors to open. But no one, more than Bradley. Finally he saw his bride walking towards him and all was right. They said their “I do’s”, kissed, and danced out to “Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I’m yours”. It couldn’t have gone any better.
These two have a love between them that is perfect and they were made for each other. It has been a pleasure to watch them grow as a couple and to see how they are striving to keep God as the center of their marriage. Bradley and Kelly, I can’t thank you enough for the opportunity to capture your milestones with my camera. Couples like you are the reason I started doing what I do. With all my heart, thank you!
I am so glad you guys decided to share a life together. Til next time.
Do Well and Do Good,
