A Fairytale Wedding-Bradley and Kelly

Her colors were in the shades of pink and cream. His suit was a great hue of gray and nicely pressed. Her dress was Vera Wang and her make-up was perfect. She was beautiful and he was handsome. All the makings for the perfect day. These are the details describing Bradley and Kelly’s wedding. They couldn’t wait to say “I do”. And it was right around the corner.

The day went off without a hitch. The men in their suits and the girls in their matching dresses. Everything was perfect. With her hair pinned up just right and her dress flowing out around her, Kelly was stunning and she was ready to walk down that aisle. And at the end, was her prince charming. Bradley waited patiently as each parent and attendant walked out first. The doors shut and the congregation stood. Everyone seemed to hold their breath as they waited for the doors to open. But no one, more than Bradley. Finally he saw his bride walking towards him and all was right. They said their “I do’s”, kissed, and danced out to “Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I’m yours”. It couldn’t have gone any better.

These two have a love between them that is perfect and they were made for each other. It has been a pleasure to watch them grow as a couple and to see how they are striving to keep God as the center of their marriage. Bradley and Kelly, I can’t thank you enough for the opportunity to capture your milestones with my camera. Couples like you are the reason I started doing what I do. With all my heart, thank you!

An Iowa Farm Wedding-Don and Jessi

When you hear the word Iowa, beautiful is probably not the first word that comes to mind. Flat maybe. And definitely corn. They grow a lot of corn there. And if you think there’s not really much beauty, you couldn’t be farther from the truth. It is absolutely gorgeous. Big rolling hills as far as the eye can see. The weather is amazing and the people are as well. Everyone waves and the neighborhoods look like they should all be a film set. My family and I recently took a family/working vacation to visit some friends and go to their wedding. I, of course, got to document the wedding. It was a pleasure and hardly work at all.
Don and Jessi are such a great fit for each other. You can see the love in their eyes when they look at each other too. They have a beautiful family and warm home. When we got the phone invite to attend, we were all excited and couldn’t wait for the day to get here.
They live on a large farm where they grow corn. Rows and rows, on hills and hills, of corn. It’s absolutely ideal for raising a family. The land and equipment is very important, so Jessi wanted to make sure to get some of the equipment in the photos. The wedding was charming and lovely. Small, but with the most important people there. Their family and friends.

Don and Jessi, I was honored to get to be apart of your day. Thank you so much for letting me capture the love between you guys. And thank you from my whole family for letting us stay in your home and be apart of your family. We love y’all more than we can say!

M (1)This photo and the next were from the rehearsal the night before the wedding. Let me just say, there are some amazing sunsets in Iowa and I was able to capture one. M (20)M (27)M (42)M (46)M (51)M (61)M (67)M (74)M (89)M (92)M (98)M (116)M (121)M (146)M (158)M (170)M (173)M (176)M (223)

These two deserve so much happiness and I can’t wait to visit with them in the future. Til next time.

Monticello, AR Bridal session-Kelly

When I first met Kelly, I knew I would like her very much. She is bubbly, outgoing, and so much fun. I love being around her. So when we all found out she was going to be part of the family by marrying my first cousin, Bradley, it was a great day. The proposal was even filmed and we got to see it. I was thrilled when they asked me to capture all of their photos. A while back, I blogged the engagement and now, I finally get to post the bridal photos. I am so excited. Bridal portraits are always a great way to allow a bride to let her glamorous side really show. They are all about her, without the pressure of the wedding day and everything that goes on.
I knew that Kelly’s were going to be fantastic. She’s a girly girl and reminds me of what Barbie would be like if she were human. I was not disappointed. Although her dress had many layers and she got hot while we were outside, you would never know from the look on her face while I was photographing her.
Kelly, I am honored that I was the one that had the privilege of photographing you in all of your beauty. You are lovely inside and out and God is doing an amazing work in you.

I normally only post a few photos, but I loved these so much, I just couldn’t decide. Til next time.

Warren Senior Session: Kailey

Quite a few years ago, my husband and I were going to a local church a few miles away.  There were many nice families and we have a lot of great memories.  Among those, are memories of a little girl who was small, happy and had long black hair.  She was so cute too.  Her name was Kailey.  She was sweet and kind.  But as kids do, she grew.  She made her way through school and she finally reached her senior year.  When her mom asked me to do a few photos for Kailey with her horses, I was thrilled.  We had a great time!  When animals are involved, photo sessions always become more interesting.  You never know what’s going to happen.  One of the horses was a little spirited, but it was entertaining.

Kailey, you are a beautiful person and I’m excited to see where life is taking you.
