El Dorado, AR Engagement Session: Chris+Bethany

I’ve know known Bethany a long time. We met when we were involved in the same church. But I hadn’t seen her in a while because of life. We all know how that goes. But thanks to the power of social media, I kind of got to keep up with her family. But recently I saw her again at another wedding I was shooting and found out she was going to be needing a wedding photographer also. So of course, I had to ask! Not long after she messaged me about my wedding packages and yada yada yada (inside joke for you Seinfeld fans) I get the pleasure of shooting her wedding. I met Chris for the first time at their contract meeting. Super nice guy and a perfect match for Bethany! And their little boy, Ezekiel, is absolutely the cutest!

Chris and Bethany, I had so much fun shooting you guys and I can’t wait until your wedding day!2018-10-15_0001.jpg

Hermitage, AR Engagement Session: Chase+Brandy

You know what I love?? A good photo session out in the country down some gravel road or in a field. That’s exactly what Chase and Brandy wanted.  I loved this session! It was laid back. It was easy. And it was quiet. I haven’t known Chase or Brandy very long, in fact I met Chase for the first time at the session. But I can tell they love one another very much.

Chase and Brandy, thank you for letting me photograph you guys!2018-10-29_0001.jpg

Little Rock Bridal Session: Becca

The one and only thing I don’t like about shooting bridal sessions is the time I have to wait to post the images. But that’s just the way it is and I tend to get over it quickly. But with these I almost couldn’t wait until Becca and Josh’s wedding was over. Only for the fact that I was ready to post. I am in love with these images. I had the privelage of shooting in Little Rock, (which I always love). Our locations were beautiful! I think these images have a classic and timeless look. Becca was an easy going bride who basically gave me control of the session. I mean, who doesn’t love that?? 😉

Becca you made a beautiful bride and Josh is one lucky guy! Congrats on your amazing day! It was laid back and gorgeous!!

Crossett, AR Engagement Session: Parker and Kassie

Kassie had been invited to go to the lake by her brother and his girlfriend. She was sitting and having good conversations when Parker pulled up. The second she saw him, she got butterflies in her stomach. Parker was shy and didn’t say much. Later that evening after he had gone, Kassie sent him a message on Facebook to make sure he had gotten home okay. That led to more talking and plans to spend time together. However, Kassie had some reservations about the possible relationship due to a small age difference. But she soon knew that it didn’t matter. All of the laughing and smiling she did took care of those reservations very quickly. Soon they were talking every day and spending as much time together as their schedules would allow. Not long after, Parker was introduced to Kassie’s son, Spencer, and the two hit it off. Her heart was happy. So happy that she loved him. She didn’t want to say it first because sometimes we girls are a little afraid. But Parker quickly confirmed her feelings by telling her he loved her. They both knew that they were going to get married and it wasn’t long until she was looking up ideas on Pinterest. Not only had Kassie fallen in love with Parker, but with his son, Holden, as well.

Kassie is a dispatcher at the police department and the day Parker proposed, she was working. Kassie had gotten the message the Parker had been arrested for getting into a fight with someone. She quickly got back to where he was and of course she was upset. He was sitting there in handcuffs. As soon as the handcuffs were removed, Parker went down on one knee and the rest is history.

Parker and Kassie, I am so excited that I am getting to take this journey with you guys. It’s an honor to know both of you and I think your boys are absolutely precious! Thank you for asking me to be apart of your lives. I can’t wait to see what life has in store for both of you!

Hermitage, AR Engagement Session: Matthew and Annslie

There are times in life when we get to know people when we are young. Then you lose track of them and then later in your life, they are back. For some people it’s family and for others, it’s friends. That’s the way it was with Annslie and I. She and I first met when were around eight. Then, because of moving around with my family, I lost track of her. Around ten or eleven years ago, my husband and I moved back to where I am from. Probably five years after that, I saw her across the room in a restaurant, but I didn’t say hi because I didn’t think she would remember me. I have a bad habit of doing that. Then a couple of years after that, she was at a mutual friends house and she did remember me. She is a blessing and I’m blessed to know her.
A little while ago I was on scrolling on Facebook and came across Annslie’s post where she was announcing her engagement. I was very excited for her. I hadn’t gotten to meet Matthew at that point, but I figured, I would soon. Then I got asked to shoot the wedding. When I met him, I figured out that he was the perfect match for her. Annslie is a very outgoing person and Matthew is quiet and reserved. The saying, opposites attract, proved to be true. I asked Annslie how she felt when they met and she said, she knew she loved him when she didn’t want to spend another minute without him. Now that, I’d say, is true love.

Annslie and Matthew, thank you for letting me be apart of these life changing events. I’m so excited and happy for both of you. I’m glad that you have both found your one and only.

Monticello, AR Engagement Session: Walter and Brandie

I go to an amazing church. When I walked in the doors for the first time, I felt like I was home. Along with that came a great church family. These are some of the best people you could ever meet. I truly love them like I love my own family. Sometimes I get to work with people that go to my church. Not long ago, I got a message from Brandie asking about engagement sessions. We emailed back and forth a couple of times and after discussing it with Walter, they decided they would have me take their engagement photos. I love engagement sessions and I love getting to work with new people. It’s a perk of the job.  I’ve said it before.
When we all got to meet in person the day of the session, both Brandie and Walter had huge smiles on their faces. The day was beautiful, but a little windy. The laughed easily and it was infectious. We had a fantastic time. I could tell by the way they looked at each other that they are in love. It’s almost tangible. It was very easy to get good photos of this couple because I really didn’t have to tell them to do anything. They were themselves and it was truly a pleasure to work with them.
Walter and Brandie, I wish you the best and many years of wedded bliss.

Little Rock Engagement Session: Nathan and Ashleigh

The day was rainy and cold. There were puddles everywhere and I had made the mistake of wearing my “Bobs” shoes. I have no idea what I was thinking. But I figured out it was a bad idea when I stepped in water that was probably in the range of 35-40 degrees. My toes did not thank me. But all of those details simply didn’t matter as soon as I met my newest clients. I had communicated with Ashleigh completely through text so it was very nice to meet both she and Nathan in person. Right from the get go, I knew we were going to have a good time despite the rain. She had purchased the cutest umbrella so that took care of our rain problem. And even though the temperature slightly dropped during our session, they stayed in good spirits and never complained. They did amazing and you could see love in their eyes when they looked at each other.

Nathan and Ashleigh, I want to thank you for asking me to come along on this journey with you. I look forward to every second spent with the two of you.

Slideshows, slideshows!

I absolutely love a good slideshow.  Photos, that I love, put to a song that I love…I don’t think it can get any better.  Each time I have a photo shoot, I take photos from each session and put them to music, so I can send it to my clients and they can fall in love, as well.  I am more than happy to share them with you, my readers.  Enjoy!

Hermitage, AR Engagement Session-Justin and Selena

A love of softball is what brought them together. Justin and Selena, two very active and athletic individuals, met at a co-ed softball game where they played on a team together for the first time. They also took the title of champions. Later that week the added each other on Facebook and shortly after he sent her a message. He tried a few times, but at first Selena was not down with the idea. Later on, they put another team together to play in another tournament, and from there they started texting.
Their first date consisted of the normal date activities; going to a movie and dinner. But for Selena, it was different. For her, it was her first real date. It was the first time she had been treated like a lady should be treated. For her, this date would change the rest of her life.
After the movie was over, the pair walked out of the theater towards the parking lot. It was right there that Justin decided he had to be with Selena for the rest of their lives. It was there, right there, in the parking lot, that he got down on one knee and asked her to be his forever. Selena also knew she had to be with him and happily accepted his proposal.
They share the normal things in common, such as favorite color and sport. They go to the same church and are both family people. And Selena can always count on Justin to put a smile on her face. Most simply put, they are true best friends.
Justin and Selena, it was so much fun to be able to capture your personalities with my camera and I am so happy for the two of you. I am so honored that I get to photograph you wedding and I can’t wait to see where life takes the two of you.
